The Rocwood Motorised Jockey Wheel is the perfect product to help you pull heavy trailers or caravans. It also now comes in black! Modern Caravans are heavy, this simple add on allows you to move them with ease in both forward & reverse. Who needs to struggle trying to reverse caravans into spaces with a car when this product is available to make your life easier.
The designers have designed this motorised jockey wheel with the same fixing clamp as a normal jockey wheel. Therefore making installation and operation simple and easy. If you fancy working on your muscles you can disengage the clutch and the jockey wheel moves manually. It has a long handle that can be positioned in two different ways for easy control and has a switch at the end to operate the motorised jockey wheel.
It also features a handle on the top like a standard jockey wheel to be able to raise and lower it to get your trailer or caravan onto the latch hook to pull it.When the operator disengages the clutch, they can move the jockey wheel manually.
It comes with a 7 inch wheel with deep tread for fantastic traction when pulling and pushing the trailers.
Please note a 12 volt battery is required but not included, a 12 Volt DC, 20AH is recommended.

After a bit of trying to get it to fit thetrailer chassis rail the bracket was only just tall enough using 10mm bolts instead of the 12mm ones supplied it fits.However it will need to be fitted each time we need to move the trailer as it is very tall.Also wanted to leave bracket on trailer but it wouldn’t come apart easily.Trailer needed to be raised to fit.It worked ok but the tyre is not very grippy on a very slight slope a 500kg trailer weight was a challenge for it.For the number of times it will be moved we can live with it.

Looks like a sturdy bit of kit with a decent size motor. Instructions says it needs a 20 a/h battery which seem a bit small so will be contacting to ensure I have the correct size for the required output.

I am still to install and use the mover and accept it is a risky purchase as it might not perform well with my boat trailer due to the driveway slope and it’s surface condition. However, the Mover is the latest generation and initial design limitations highlighted by previous customers do look to have been modified in an effort to overcome them. I have my fingers crossed.

My driveway goes slightly uphill the wheel did struggle. I also had to shift all the weight to the front of the Caravan to get more grip.
